One of my biggest fashion pet peeves is when I find something awesome--and not even fancy, just something that's a great everyday piece, maybe a dress or a top--and take it home only to find that even though it's cotton or some other natural fiber, the washing instructions say it's "Dry Clean Only." Has this ever happened to you?

I love pretty clothes as much as the next girl, but when something I love to wear costs $5 to $10 to clean each time, it seriously puts a dent in my wallet--and my style.

So I was super excited to find out that designer Tracy Reese has teamed up with Tide Pods to launch machine-washable fashions with her fall 2014 collection, which is set to debut on the New York Fashion Week runway in February.

"As a designer, it is very important to me to create garments for real women, in fact it's something I take a lot of pride in," says Tracy Reese. "And real women do laundry, so it only made sense for me to extend that consideration to how they care for my pieces. I have come to believe that just because a garment is made from washable fabrics doesn't mean it has to sacrifice anything in terms of design."
