Donate Shoes, Save Cash, Feel Good: Rachel Zoe On What to Toss

This holiday season, the only thing that could warm my heart more than a weekend-long marathon of The Rachel Zoe Project would be some Zoe-approved charity. Doing good and being as chic as the bananas one herself? Oh yes. Piperlime.com is making it happen!

The online shoe mega-store has teamed up with both the Zoe and Soles4Souls, a charity that gives shoes to those in need, to collect 5,000 pairs of gently worn shoes by December 31. "It feels so good to donate," Zoe says. "Something you don't want could make someone else's day." And when you do, Piperlime will give you a $15 credit towards a brand new pair of kicks.

So what should you get rid of? Zoe's recommendations (and you know around here, her word is gospel!):

Anything bedazzled - "Don't toss it. THROW IT!"
If it screams last season - "Get rid of super-super trendy."
What you don't wear - "If you've never worn it, get rid of it."
Shoes that don't fit - "You've got to move on. Let go."

Stuart Weitzman reveals the only three pairs of shoes you'll ever need to own.

Log on to Piperlime.com now to find out more about the Soles4Souls program and how you can get involved. Are you guys planning any special charitable projects this holiday season? Will you donate old shoes, clothes, toys, and books? Do you have something even bigger in mind to help out those less fortunate? Share!
