Don't do that: Unengaged Jennifer Love Hewitt has three engagement rings picked out

Something tells us Jennifer Love Hewitt was one of those little girls who kept a scrap book or a memory box filled with tear-outs from Modern Bride and sketches of her future wedding dress. This girl is OBSESSED with marriage, and we think she's scaring dudes away! First there was her bizarre 30th birthday Breakfast at Tiffany's reinactment/photo shoot where she posed and pined away for a diamond ring in a little blue box. (Why do many celebs have pose as icons like Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe?! It's so weird and we wish it would stop, but that's a story for a different day.)

Next Hewitt got into an argument with her then-boyfriend and former "Ghost Whisperer" co-star Jamie Kennedy in the middle of an interview, saying, "By this time next year, if we're not planning [a wedding], then there's a situation." An engagement ultimatum? We wonder if perhaps that's one of the reasons Kennedy broke up with her.

Yesterday Hewitt appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and once again derailed the conversation to discuss her non-impending engagement that thus far exists only in her fantasies. She told the talk show host that she has already selected three potentialengagement rings from, where else, Tiffany's, despite the fact that she's only been dating fellow actor Alex Beh for a short time. Yes, three rings. "I actually have three because I feel like I'm doing the guy a favor," Hewitt told Ellen. "Women are very confusing. We never know what we want and we're not very good at nailing that down for them. I feel like I don't want to be upset if he picks a bad ring." As for how to explain this to her suitor, she has the conversation all worked out. "If marriage comes up, I'm like, "You know what's so weird. There is this store [Tiffany's] and there are three rings in it... And if you chose one of these three, I'm going to be really excited. And if you go off on your own, we can have an awful, awkward moment. So why would you want to do that?" Hmm... so does she really care about the guy? Or just being engaged with a glistening Tiffany diamond on her finger?

It may be important to note that Hewitt has been engaged once before to actor Ross McCall in 2008. Another little gem: she's currently starring in a TV movie called "The Lost Valentine," where she plays a romantic journalist who waits at a train station on Valentine's Day every year for 60 years for the love of her life to return from war. Poor Jennifer Love Hewitt, she just keeps hoping! Let's hope this Alex Beh guy puts a ring on it and her wedding obsession can be tucked away forever in that memory box.

Ladies (and Jennifer Love Hewitt if you're listening): please don't tell your new boyfriend about how you've already picked out engagement rings or tell him you must be engaged within a year. If you love someone it's great to have discussions, but ultimatums and crazy pressure involving expensive diamonds are not cool!
