Eight Lessons in Wearing Earrings from Emma Watson

by Maura Brannigan

A targeted Google deep dive will show that Emma Watson's portrayal of Hermione Granger had the literary heroine going earring-less until the series' sixth movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Of course, Watson has done an expert job at separating her burgeoning film career from her childhood franchise (This Is the End, anyone?)-partly through her now perfectly styled and quite grown-up red carpet appearances.

It was Watson's single Mise en Dior pearl earring-worn only in her left lobe-at the 2014 Golden Globes back in January that prompted us to keep a close watch on the 24-year-old's jewelry game. Throughout awards season and into the promotional tour for her new film Noah, she never ceased to impress us with the creativity and edginess of her cuff-heavy earring usage.
