Golden Globes Celebrities in Wedding-Worthy White Dresses: Jennifer Lawrence, Robin Wright, and Margot Robbie

by Terri Pous

It's no surprise that we love a stylish white dress. Whether a bride is dressed in one on her wedding day, a designer is sending one down the runway at Bridal Fashion Week, or a celebrity is rocking one on the red carpet, a white dress is a classic, fresh, and chic blank slate for accessories. Plus, the hue is ripe with possibilities for new interpretations-we think it should be every celebrity's go-to color! This week, we looked to the Golden Globes for the best ivory, cream, and eggshell gowns to bring you these stunning, wedding-worthy looks.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

The winner of Best Supporting Actress for her standout role in American Hustle is starting a habit of wearing wedding-worthy neutrals for the biggest awards shows, and we couldn't be happier about it. She followed her already-iconic blush pink dress from last year's Oscars with this snow-white Dior gown with black bands. She added color to the ultra-modern dress with green drop earrings, deep ruby lips, and smoky eyes. Her short hair didn't compete with the bold beauty look, in fact, it only added to her contemporary movie star statement. Brides-to-be that want to channel her gorgeous ensemble (or just want to be her best friend, because, who doesn't?) should look for strapless tulle wedding dresses with clean lines or check out Vera Wang's Spring 2014 bridal line for a similar style.

Robin Wright in Reem Acra

It was a big night for Wright-she won Best Actress in a Television Series for her leading role in House of Cards and she stepped out on the red carpet with her brand-new fiancé, Ben Foster! The couple of more than two years confirmed their engagement over the weekend, and Wright has given us a few glimpses of her gorgeous gold engagement ring. Last night, she showed us what a stunning bride she'll be in this nude, halter-neck Reem Acra. Though her pasty was showing as she accepted her trophy, it served as a reminder to brides everywhere to take proper precautions if they're planning to get married in a similarly sexy style. We also continue to give Wright props for rocking that short hair, a look we hope she'll keep around for her wedding.

Margot Robbie in Gucci

Robbie made her big debut playing Leonardo DiCaprio's wife in The Wolf of Wall Street, but our lasting first impression will definitely be of her stunning V-neck ivory gown. The dress's high slit and jeweled accents are utterly regal, while her chignon is one of our all-time favorite bridal hairstyles. The young Aussie had the bright idea to wear some emerald-colored shoes underneath her show-stopping dress. We love when brides forgo the standard white wedding day shoe for something with an extra kick, and Robbie's jewel-toned footwear did just that.
