Here's the harsh reality, ladies: French women are known for their effortlessly fabulous gamine style, the Brits have smart tailoring down to a science, the Italians do luxury fashion better than anyone, and we, well, we're a nation of Uggs and sweatpants. But of all the comfy clothes lovers across the country, which city has by far the comfiest?

According to Time magazine, that would be Philadelphia: "A recent study by Experian Marketing tracked how many sweats were purchased by residents in 209 market areas in the United States and found that Philadelphians tend to keep it casual. 'Philadelphia is the highest ranking when it comes to the mean number of sweats and sweat items that are purchased each year,' John Fetto, a researcher for Experian, told CBS News...This is Philadelphia's second year in a row as the reigning champion of the sweat suit rankings. Hartford, Conn., claimed the second highest spot this year, and Pittsburgh, Penn., found itself in third place."

But don't feel bad about yourselves, Philadelphians--the same source says the penchant for sweats could be because the city's residents are more physically active than others.
