Help Hurricane Sandy Victims by Shopping Online

Participating in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts can seem overwhelming and discouraging, especially if you live out of town or have lots of office obligations. In such a predicament, one can obviously donate directly to the Red Cross, FEMA or another involved organization. But there's an equally charitable and mutually beneficial option, too: online shopping.
Right now, several of our favorite e-tailers are donating a portion of sales to-or have designed a special product benefiting-hurricane relief efforts. So you can help the cause from anywhere, at any time, while doing something you love-guilt-free. Below, we've listed 13 sites dedicated to helping storm victims-scroll down to check them out now.

1. Natori.com: Through November 11, the brand is donating 20 percent of its online sales-including its ladylike lingerie, elegant home goods, multiple fragrances and more-to The American Red Cross.
2. Alexisbittar.com: We confirmed through the jewelry label's Facebook page that until November 10, five percent of its e-commerce site's sales will benefit local disaster relief funds. So now's the time to stock up on Lucite!
3. Selflesstee.com: The self-proclaimed "cause-inspired apparel" company has created a special "Sopo" ("south of power") T-shirt with a hand-drawn map of post-Sandy Manhattan on it. For the next six days, $10 from every piece sold will go to rebuilding efforts. Last we checked, $6,180 had already been raised.
4. Joanhornig.com: While the purchase of any piece on the jewelry designer's website will benefit some sort of charity, there's now a specific item-called the "Build up the Giving" necklace-for the Sandy cause alone. One hundred percent of the profits from each necklace sold will directly benefit storm relief work.

5. Stylebop.com: Buy items from all your favorite brands, like Stella McCartney and Rag & Bone, and 10 percent of your purchase will be donated to The American Red Cross. The promotion lasts until November 7, so if there's something you've eyeing, order it NOW.
6. Penfield.com: Every order placed through the UK-based company's U.S. website will yield a $10 donation to The American Red Cross. Which is kind of perfect, because now's prime time for a puffer.
7. Dallanonnajewelry.com: When you purchase the jewelry label's made-to-order "The Scatter of Sparkle" necklace-a silver or rose gold pendant with teeny white and yellow sapphires embedded inside-20 percent of the proceeds will go towards Hurricane Sandy relief.
8. Lordandtaylor.com: Okay-this is not technically shopping, but it's SO EASY we had to share. Simply like the retailer on Facebook, and it'll donate a dollar to The American Red Cross; the offer stands until Christmas. You only get one shot, though-so get your friends to do it, too!
9. Thredup.com: This is another not-actually-shopping-but-still-worth-knowing-about move. You can either donate money directly through the secondhand children's clothing site or request that a bag be sent to your house. Upon receiving it, fill it with stuff your kids (or your sibling's/friend's/neighbor's kids) have outgrown, then ship it back. In return, the company will donate cash to The American Red Cross for you.
10. Courtshop.com: All month long, the NYC-based denim shop will put 10 percent of its profits toward The American Red Cross and supplies for those affected by Sandy.

11. Thereformation.com: Not only is the LES store giving 10 percent of its sales to The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund but, until November 8, everything is 20 percent off with the coupon code REFRELIEF.
12. Dermstore.com: The beauty site has compiled a "Superstorm Sandy Relief Boutique" of select skincare items from A-list labels like Dermalogica and Murad. Buy any of them from now through November 9, and five percent of the proceeds will go to The American Red Cross.
13. eBay.com: There are three ways to help out here: 1. Buy items marked with a yellow or blue ribbon, and part of the sale will benefit non-profits involved with Sandy relief. 2. You can use PayPal to donate directly to the charity of your choice. 3. List your own items and donate a percentage of the sale through eBay Giving Works.
