A Christmas Story: While Ralphie's quest for a Red Ryder BB gun may teach us many life lessons-like following your dreams and never sticking your tongue to a metal pole-we can also pick up a thing or two from his personal style. Just stay away from a pink bunny suit and try not to "shoot your eye out, kid."

Kate Johanson,

Department stores have been cranking "Baby, It's Cold Outside" on repeat since Thanksgiving, daily ugly-sweater party e-vites keep filling up my inbox (okay, maybe I'm not that popular… there are only two) and the cups at Starbucks were changed weeks ago-but none of this jubilation has made me particularly excited for the upcoming celebrations.

At least that was the case until I spent this entire weekend parked on my couch, flipping through a constant stream of classic holiday films. Needless to say, my seasonal cheer finally kicked in. Freshly inspired by my movie marathon, I no longer find myself shivering in front of my closet unsure of what to wear. It's nearly impossible to be a Scrooge while incorporating these jolly styles into your winter wardrobes.
