Holly Madison Has Cellulite—And Doesn't Care

By Sarah Wexler, Allure magazine

I've written about how former Playboy bunny Holly Madison was called "fat" and told she needed to lose 10 pounds or risk getting fired from her Las Vegas cabaret show. At the time, she said didn't think she needed to lose weight, but was debating whether she should try just to please her critics.

This week, she revealed her decision in the form of unretouched photos of herself in a bikini (eating a sort of "F-you, haters" cupcake, no less) to Life & Style; see one shot here. I love that not only did she decide to stick up for herself, but that she's also being totally honest about the body issues she struggles with, like cellulite and stretch marks: "I have cellulite, and had it even when I was at my absolute thinnest," she says. "I'm never not going to have cellulite. People need to just accept that."

She's right-and she's hardly alone, since approximately 85 percent of all women have cellulite (including other celebs who admit to it, like Cindy Crawford and Kim Kardashian), according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons; and 90 percent of women have stretch marks. I think it's brave she's showing her (still totally awesome) body off, flaws and all. To me, confidence and honesty are the best way to show she cares about herself and her body more than the opinions of her critics.
