Hollywood's Getting Hairy: Men with Beards

If I had any confidence in my financial acumen, I'd short razor company stocks. Seriously. The writers' strike has come and gone but the beards are still here. What's up with that?

I asked celebrity grooming guru Scott McMahan, who has a theory: "Once you haven't shaved for a while, the last thing you want is a razor dragging across your skin again." He loves the messy, scruffy look, complete with full neck beards (yes, neck beards!), because "it's finally gotten us away from goatees and other manicured 'topiary' beards." Another boy beauty trend? What McMahan calls "The Hairy Combover;" think Zac Efron, Pete Wentz, Chace Crawford. (Basically the same 'do we've been calling "boy bangs."). "It's a slightly more groomed way to wear shaggy long hair, but it reminds me of the look a guy without any hair wears to cover his bald spot," he says.
