Pretty much the main difference between the fashion-hungry citizens of the The Hunger Games' Capitol City and the fashion-hungry women who regularly shop Net-a-Porter is that the former group is fictional, so the e-tailer is making a pretty smart move with its forthcoming "Capital Couture" line. The collection, created in partnership with the movie franchise's costume designer, Trish Summerville, will be based on some of the film's most stylish characters, like Katniss and Cinna, and will include jewelry, leather goods and sixteen ready-to-wear items.

A recent interview with Trish posted on the Capital Couture blog reveals that although the residents of Capitol City are known for flashy, over-the-top outfits, most of Capitol Couture's pieces will be black and "based on Katniss' looks for the Capitol galas." Fabric-wise, the designer promises lots of soft pliable leather, stretchy silk and a little bit of spandex, used for a tracksuit look. And, for everyone who's secretly jealous of Katness' badass archery skills, there's a bag inspired by the famous tribute's signature quiver.

Only one teaser image (pictured above) from the forthcoming range has been revealed thus far, but you don't have to wait too long for the rest: everything is set to debut in conjunction with the November 22 release of the on-screen trilogy's second installment, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. In the meantime, just occupy your time with all our New York Fashion Week coverage, because this week's kind of like The Hunger Games, too, right?
