This is the photo you will remember from the 2013 inauguration. And for good reason. First Lady Michelle Obama chose a show-stopping ruby velvet and chiffon inaugural gown with a diamond embellished keyhole neckline. It was a bold choice, and not simply because of the color or the shoulder exposure. The custom gown was dreamed up by Jason Wu, the same 30-year-old designer responsible for Michelle's 2009 inaugural gown. Four years ago Wu appeared to win the fashion lotto. Now he's here to stay. Fashion was in full democratic force on Monday at the 57th Presidential Inauguration ceremony. No matter who you were--the First Lady, an A-list power couple, or a ticket-holder waving a hand-held flag--you were probably really, really cold. But on a day when Michelle Obama's wardrobe changes make history, nobody's talking about the weather.
