It's the Premiere of Jessica Simpson's The Price of Beauty!

If you ever wanted to know what an elephant's skin looks like up close ("A giant scrotum!"), how fried worms taste ("GAG!"), or how it feels to get a pedicure from skin-eating fish, watch and learn from Jessica Simpson. That's thanks to her much-discussed new reality show, The Price of Beauty, where Simpson spends weeks touring the world, trying to understand different ideas about beauty.

In the premiere episode, we discover just what it means to be beautiful in Thailand. Simpson (along with her entourage, hairstylist Ken Paves and bestie CaCee Cobb) checks out a Buddhist monastery, gets a Thai massage, and meets women who elongate their necks with metal rings (Simpson even tromps through the jungle in towering heels).

Sure, sometimes she still plays the ditz-it's cringe-worthy to watch her break into uncontrollable giggles during silent meditation. But there are also touching, earnest moments when Simpson reveals her own insecurities, especially about weight or appearance, which she uses to emotionally connect with women she meets around the world. Those real, honest connections-OK, and watching Simpson get a face mask made from bird poop-make me excited to watch the rest of the series.

As the season goes on, she'll trek to Paris, Uganda, Japan, India, and more for beauty treatments. (Click here to find out how you can win an all-inclusive four-day spa package in Rio, another one of her beauty stops.) Be sure to start the trip with her, with the premiere episode on Monday, March 15 at 10 P.M. EDT on VH1.
