Jennifer Lawrence Watches "Kardashians," Likes Budweiser

Courtesy of Getty ImagesJust because Jennifer Lawrence's Hunger Games: Catching Fire promotional marathon has ground to a halt does not mean that the reigning Oscar winner is altogether off publicity duties. With American Hustle, David O. Russell's follow-up to Silver Linings Playbook, out this December, the actress-whose performance as a feisty Long Island housewife is already garnering her awards buzz-is still on the hook.

In a new interview with USA Today, the actress makes it seem as though she would rather be at home with a Budweiser than promoting whichever movie is currently on the marquee.

After explaining that her priorities in life currently are buying a house and FaceTiming with her two young nephews each night, the 23-year-old reveals that she, like must of the country, decompresses by watching reality television, mostly of the Kardashian variety. While attempting to order a drink at a downtown hotel in New York, USA Today's Donna Freydkin writes that Lawrence looks "flummoxed" when she can't just order a domestic beer from the menu, which contains artisanal options. "I'm a Budweiser person," the actress says after the waitress explains the differences between the pale ales on the menu. "So I don't really understand."

In further J. Law intel, Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence suggests that the star's charm lies not just in her default easygoing nature, but in her ability to gauge people and calibrate with them. "She's an amazing study of people," he explains. "She can figure you out in an instant. She does it with such ease, from the gut." Look forward to more Lawrence promotional appearances at least through December 20's American Hustle release, and then perhaps well into awards season. And if you see her out on the circuit, looking slightly dejected and like she'd rather be at home watching an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, send a Budweiser her way.
