Jessica Simpson went on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" today and spoke about being single and hunting for a man. After watching her interview, we're beginning to wonder if her hygiene is actually scaring away potential suitors. The 29-year-old singer told Ellen that she only brushes her teeth "maybe three times a week." Um, gross! She says it's "because my teeth are so white, and I don't like them to feel too slippery." By slippery, does she mean clean? "My lips just slide all over the place....I can't catch up with my mouth. I need a little coating...."

Jessica says that while she doesn't brush regularly, "I do use Listerine and I do floss everyday." She says sometimes she'll use her shirt to scrub off the layer of gunk that accumulates on her teeth. "I know it's gross, but I always have fresh breath," says Simpson.

Having fresh breath is not the same as having healthy and clean teeth and gums. Many people brush their teeth more in a day than Jessica does in a week! We wonder what her dentist has to say about this behavior. Then again, perhaps her overall hygiene could use some help. Jessica's hairstylist friend Ken Paves told Marie Claire that Simpson "only washes her hair about two to three times a month." She admit this, saying "I'll wait until it smells."
