Kate Middleton Photobombed a Selfie

We have been deluged with pictures of Kate Middleton over the past two weeks as she and George (oh, yeah, and that tall dude who's always standing near her in a blazer, too) have made their way around New Zealand and Australia. But, for the most part, these images have been staged photo ops; they're great, sure, but there's a formality about them. So it's kind of shocking ("shocking") to behold this selfie taken by a teenager in New Zealand, which co-stars the Duchess. If only Jennifer Lawrence had jumped in the frame holding a yawning cat, Twitter would have just exploded and shuttered for good.

Of course, because this is Kate Middleton we are dealing with, she looks better in a spur-of-the-moment selfie than most people do in their wedding photos. Sporting her red Luisa Spagnoli skirt suit (her "cricket in heels" outfit!), Kate looks joyous and serene. Meanwhile, this identified youngster has no doubt needed to buy a second phone to handle the flood of text messages. ("what did her hair smell like bro??" "u know the smell of bacon when it arrives on the table when u've been waiting at brunch for an hour? ……… 1000x better than that.")
