Kate Middleton's Green Coat was a "Bit Bright" for Prince William

Fresh off her monumental victory over husband Prince William on the water, Kate arrived in Hamilton, New Zealand, Saturday in a green coat by Erdem, identified by the Daily Mail as the $3,000 wool-crepe Allie coat. While the coat is pretty much as Middleton as it gets-single-color, knee-length, slim-cut-William was apparently not a fan. "I like it," Kate told a 68-year-old Hamilton local, "but William thinks it is a bit bright." (Perhaps a certain prince has not gotten over a certain defeat.)

Some 15,000 people turned out in Hamilton to greet the royal couple, which is impressive in of itself but even more so when you consider that the entire town's population is 18,000. That would be equivalent to 1.35 million Manhattanites turning out to see a celebrity, which wouldn't happen even if Jennifer Lawrence and Kim Kardashian went running through Times Square together naked and holding hands.

After arriving in Hamilton, William travelled to Pacific Aerospace, while Kate made her first solo appearance of the trip, visiting Rainbow Place Children's Hospice. Kate met with patients with terminal illnesses and attended a "Mad Hatter's tea party" for children and their families in the hospice's garden.
