At Queen Elizabeth's birthday parade on June 15. For her last public appearance before her due date, Middleton wore custom Alexander McQueen as she stood in the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony. The light wool crepe coat features flattering side darts, three-quarter sleeves, an oversized collar, and big pearl buttons. Her coordinating hat is by Jane Corbett, and she wore it once before at the queen's Buckingham Palace garden party in 2012. She accessorized with a small gray clutch, pretty pearl earrings, and, best of all, an ear-to-ear grin. less

Kate Middleton is so close to giving birth, and while the world anxiously awaits the arrival of the royal baby, let's take a moment to reflect on her stunning maternity wardrobe. Unsurprisingly, Vanity Fair named the Duchess of Cambridge the best dressed pregnant woman, and the classic, figure-flattering garments she's worn in recent months would look incredible on any woman—pregnant or not. Middleton may not have shown off her bump on the red carpet like pregnant stars in Hollywood, but she had an abundance of formal affairs to attend, and she managed them all with the style and grace we've come to adore and appreciate. Whether in adjustable wrap dresses or chic wool coats, Middleton stuck to simple silhouettes that work and relied on her well-worn signature accessories (we're looking at you, L.K. Bennett and Episode pumps). Sayonara muumuus and maternity jeans—Middleton's maternity style has made every pregnant lady rethink her wardrobe. By Joanna Douglas, Senior Fashion and Beauty Editor
