Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne Star in Ad Campaign. What Took so Long?!

Big news today: 40-year-old British supermodel Kate Moss and her 21-year-old counterpart, "it" girlCara Delevingne, are set to co-star in a new Burberry campaign. Yes! The stunning dream team will be immortalized together at last in what's sure to be the most memorable ad of 2014.

Months back, before designer Karl Lagerfeld declared that Cara was the new Kate, we couldn't help but note the obvious comparisons between Moss and Delevinge. The similarities are endless from them carefree attitudes, penchants for partying (sometimes even together), and collections of hot rock star ex-boyfriends, to their shared runways, matching covers of Love magazine, and even prior Burberry campaigns. While Moss started posing in the brand's iconic plaid back in 1999, Delevingne is a relative newcomer with her first Burberry campaign in 2010. But these two forces coming together is a modern modeling miracle.

Their upcoming joint venture for a new Burberry fragrance was shot by acclaimed photographer (and Moss's long-time fave) Mario Testino. On Wednesday morning, Burberry teased us with this double trouble behind-the-scenes shot on Instagram (regram-ed by Delevigne) of the ladies rocking the brand's signature trench coats.

The current modeling muse captured on film with the biggest fashion muse of the past few decades, who still kills it on a daily basis? It's almost too much to handle. The ad--and the new fragrance--will debut later this year.
