When Kate Moss and Johnny Depp--the ultimate couple of our '90s teenage dreams--split up in 1998 after dating for nearly five years, we knew that life would never be the same (or, at least, our hopes and dreams for beautiful celebrity supermodel-actor-grunge-babies were completely shattered).

Maybe it was because they both seemed a little bit like lost souls--his brooding, mysterious, and dark, hers ephemeral and full of irreverent London-girl charm--but theirs was a love story that became, to me, the symbol of an entire pop culture generation--the abrupt end of which was shocking and brutal.

"There's nobody that's ever really been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit. I believed what he said," Moss told Vanity Fair last year. "Like if I said, 'What do I do?,' he'd tell me. And that's what I missed when I left. I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust. Nightmare. Years and years of crying. Oh, the tears!"

Now, for the first time since 1998, Kate Moss and Johnny Depp are set to be reunited--in a professional capacity, that is. The two are reportedly slated to appear together in the upcoming video for Paul McCartney's single "Queenie Eye." According to The Mirror, they filmed their cameos this month.

"There were a a whole host of celebrities taking part," one source told the British paper. "It was a really mixed bunch. Meryl Streep and Gary Barlow were in the studio, and there was an audience on set. But the big talking point was Kate and Johnny.

"They really try to avoid one another in public because there have been raw emotions in the past--but neither could say no to Macca," the source continues. "They only have little roles, but it's the first time they're appearing on screen together since the split."

Both Moss and Depp are close friends with McCartney and his daughter, designer Stella, so they agreed to the project. We can't wait to see the final result!

Are you excited to see Kate Moss and Johnny Depp on screen together again for the first time in 15 years? I wonder if they'll still have that same chemistry--I can't wait!
