There's a red carpet darling every awards season. Last year, it was Anne Hathaway. Rooney Mara and Michelle Williams have recently had their turn. And while Lupita Nyong'o may be the obvious frontrunner for 2014's favorite, we'd like to put forth another candidate. See, this season belongs to Jared Leto and his gloriously glossy hair.

Last night at the 2014 Grammy Awards, the 42 year-old actor/musician brought back his signature wavy and piece-y hombré (that's ombré for dudes) to present an award. And it was my favorite hair look last night from both genders.

I'm not saying that I didn't love Rita Ora's Marilyn Monroe curls or Taylor Swift's Barbie pony. But Leto's textured waves are equal parts rock star and Oscar nominee, and it just looks undeniably cool. I even loved it two weeks ago at the Golden Globes (where he won for Dallas Buyer's Club), when Leto's stylist Chase Kusero pulled his hair into a sleek bun at the nape of his neck. It's the casual, undone style that everyone wants and few can pull off.

Our hats go off to you, Jared Leto, for not only keeping ombré alive, but for proving that men can have truly great hair, too. Now, seriously, where's your beauty contract? We'd buy what you are selling.
