Love It or Hate It: The Best and Worst Dressed at Comic-Con

Here are the fabulous, the drab, and the "should have left that dress at home" celeb looks (we're talking to you, Carey Mulligan) from Comic-Con!

This past weekend, comic book and science fiction lovers united with fashion fiends on the red carpet in San Diego for Comic-Con 2011. Four fun-filled days of comic books, science fiction movies, TV show, games, parties and more had the stars dazzling, but nothing topped the brightness of the season's hottest designers on stars like Kate Beckinsale and Olivia Wilde at the premiere of one of the most anticipated summer blockbusters, Cowboys & Aliens.

Some of the most popular A-listers, including our favorite Bon Temps resident, Anna Paquin and Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev strutted fashionably throughout the weekend convention, but of course there were some that shone much brighter than the rest.

Here are the fabs, the drabs and "the should-have-never-been-worn" digs from Comic Con 2011.

Worst Dressed

Ginnifer Goodwin

We loved Ginni in He's Just Not That Into You, but we are not at all into this dress from designer Roksanda Illinic. The vibrant color pops, but the large fuzz ball in-the-middle combined with the oversized sleeves gives Ginnifer's petite frame the trash bag appeal (or window treatment , your choice), instead of the chic look she was aiming for.

Kristen Stewart

Vampire lover, Kristen Stewart, must have thought overly casual was the new fierce when she appeared at Comic Con in this simple and boring outfit. Of course, all celebs deserve a break from their usual red carpet looks, but Kristen, at the last few events we've seen her at has looked chic. This is a giant step backwards. The Twilight star is the epitome of the "I just rolled out of the bed" look.

Carey Mulligan

Everything that can be wrong about this Roksanda Illinic original is. Let's start with the design that I can't seem to grasp because it's too awkward and looks like it was three outfits rolled into one hot mess. The monokini-style midsection bares Carey Mulligan's stomach yet connects to a full skirt. Is the top a series of crop tops that grew? A monokini that doesn't like water? Three tank tops separated at birth? And the skirt! This one is so full; it looks like it should be part of a school uniform from way back when. This just hurts my head.

Megan Fox

First, she loses her one big role as Shia LaBeouf's girlfriend in the Transformers franchise (the poster she's standing in front of, honey, the movie tanked) and now, Megan Fox is a bigger disaster on the red carpet. What is the world coming to? I get the concept Megan! Pair a dressy Gucci blazer with a plain tee, jeans and dressy heels to make a red carpet explosion. The only problem with this look is that the bomb never donated. It just fell flat. Um, kinda like your next role.

Olivia Wilde

We had no clue that velvet curtains from those old mansions that reek of mothballs could be transformed into a Dolce & Gabbana evening gown. I am sweating from just looking at it. Cowboy & Aliens star Olivia Wilde with her raccoon eyes and period black dress looks more like an extra from a b-movie vampire flick than a star. If she toned down the eyes, lost the sleeves and napkin bodice, she could look like a winner.

Best Dressed

Nina Dobrev

Bravo Nina Dobrev! You deserve a fashion award for this Dalia McPhee one shoulder design. The bright colors are perfect for this summer event, The lack of accessories allows the dress and you to be the focal point. Her Brian Atwood peep-toe pumps and Raven Kauffman Couture clutch are the perfect complements for a fabulous Comic-Con superhero finish. Want it for your very own? You can pick it up from Nordstrom for only $298!

Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin might be a fairy in love with a vampire on True Blood, but in this ruffled Antonio Berardi flatterer, she is definitely a fiery vixen. The daring red color pops on Anna's pale skin and hugs her vicious curves tightly, showing off her best assets. Adding height to her short frame in black Gucci open-toed heels, Anna Paquin is a stunning knockout. No wonder Stephan Moyer stuck his fangs into her for life.

Kate Beckinsale

Underworld 4 (yes! Really!) is preparing for its theatrical release soon, so we can expect to see more of Kate Beckinsale on various red carpets, hopefully in fierce pieces similar to this Tibi outfit. Fresh off the spring 2011 runway, this belted knit skirt and top is an elegant modern classic. It hits the right now when paired with these Brian Atwood black satin pumps used to complete the fabulous look. Mixing retro with modern by wearing an Isharya cuff, Kate nails it.

Katharine McPhee

Summery, sophisticated and romantic is the vibe that Katharine McPhee emits in this Alice + Olivia piece. It's just a blouse paired with a lace skirt. But oh what a gorg skirt! And the sleeves on the blouse! This ensemble is just one fab look (we want it). It's the perfect combination of neutrals (stuck on how to wear them, use this outfit as a template.).

Lindsay Price

Freshly summer in a joyful floral print, Lindsay Price was a burst of fresh air in this Dolce & Gabbana dress. The nude heels by Rupert Sanderson, gray belt, and turquoise Lucifer Vir Honestus cuff and matching earrings gives Lindsay Price added voom on the red carpet .
