When I was growing up, Princess Diana's wedding gown--that perfect, epic 1980s silk puffball she wore to speak her vows at Westminster Abbey in 1981--was the stuff of little girls' dreams. The man responsible? Welsh designer David Emanuel--who's dressed Diana, Madonna, and Joan Collins, among others--who's still working as a bridal designer, to this day.

Want to know what else has Emanuel been up to? According to reports out of the U.K. this morning, he's just signed on to costar in the newest season of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here--that reality series that pits celeb against celeb on a desert island in a make-it-or-break-it multiweek standoff.

Oh, and there's usually some insect cuisine involved.

"I actually fancy trying the bug-eating trial," Emanuel told reporters at the airport in Australia. "What's the worse you can do? Vomit."

OOO-K, David, thanks for the TMI.

At least he has plenty of experience dealing with celebrity divas, right?

"It's going to be exciting," he says. "I'd like there to be larger-than-life characters in the jungle with me. I have designed for larger-than-life characters, so give me a diva."

At the end of the day, we're rooting for you, David!
