My great salmon skin diet
So I just returned from Alaska. My whole family took a cruise for my dad's 75th birthday (Happy Birthday, Dad!). One of the benefits of this trip (besides the awesome Humpback whales and icebergs we saw from the ship's terrace) was the easy access to salmon...there it was on the buffet for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Thinking like the beauty writer I am, I decided this was the perfect opportunity to try Dr. Nicholas Perricone's salmon diet, or at least my own version of it. Dr. Perricone says on his website that "the special essential fatty acids and antioxidants in salmon give skin a remarkable suppleness, radiance and youthful glow." He also says that the diet decreases facial puffiness and increases facial contours. Now I admit to being a skeptic--I worried that salmon three times a day would make me sick. But I went with it anyway...for seven days! And yes, my skin now glows. I've been back from the trip for a few days now and I got major "Your skin looks incredible!" comments at dinner with friends last night. My skin looks healthy and rosy and I feel fabulous. Have you ever tried a wacky skin diet? Got any great summer skin secrets? Share yours and I'll share some more of mine (that don't involve gorging yourself with pink fish!)
