OMG! Isaac Mizrahi remakes Kelly and Brenda’s “90210” prom dress

I don't know about you, but I was a huge fan of "Beverly Hills, 90210" and took many of my early style cues from Brenda Walsh and Kelly Taylor. (Donna Martin and Andrea Zuckerman, not so much.) Which is probably why I have an inexplicable adoration for this black and white dress Brenda and Kelly both wore to their prom. I vividly remember watching the episode thinking how cool this dress was, and that I wanted to wear one just like it to my own prom. With Dylan McKay as my date, of course.

I'm wondering if perhaps designer Isaac Mizrahi shares my fond memories of the "Spring Dance" episode of "90210" from 1991. You see, as a fellow blogger points out, Mizrahi essentially remade the bow dress for his 2011 Resort collection, which debuted this week.

This is Isaac Mizrahi's version at the left. Black. Off-the-shoulder. Big white bow. OK, so the bow isn't made of taffeta, but the dress is so similar, we can almost imagine Jennie Garth strutting down the runway.
