Paris Fashion Week: Deutsche Diane

Giving Cameron's Team USA a run for the money, Diane does what we know her for - pose her little heart out in some outlandish creations.

With all the fur and feathers here, there must be some seriously naked animals running around cursing Diane. There are looks for show, of which maybe 3 are actually produced for clients and looks for life, that people actually wear. While this is an undoubtedly beautiful coat? dress? coatdress? it's so flamboyant in its richness that I'm both over and underwhelmed by it. Crazy about the heels though.

I wonder if designers put aside their more absurd looks for Diane. If so, she's always game although I wish she wouldn't be. Why would anyone intentionally ruin a lovely dress just to look faux edgy? It's something Stephanie Seymour would have rocked in a 1988 Guns and Roses video and no, that's not a compliment in 2012.

Just because it's Chanel doesn't mean it's in good taste. I've always disliked their weird tweed and I definitely don't like it on this odd dress. And those are the least sexy pair of thigh highs I've ever seen.

Once again, it's the simplest look that saves the day. What girl wouldn't want to wear this dress? Dress it down with colored flats or sex it up with heels, it's just so easy and flattering. No feathers, nothing sheer and no tweed. Just a simple printed dress that makes a girl feel pretty.
