Last September, word got out that Net-A-Porter was set to launch a print magazine, Porter, that would supposedly compete with other top-tier glossies. While the first part of the e-commerce giant's magazine initiative launched last February with a free online weekly called The Edit, we were forced to wait nearly a year for Porter itself to debut in full.
As seen on Porter's Instagram,Gisele Bündchen graces its first-ever cover, shot by legendary fashion photographers Inez and Vinoodh and styled by Alex White. According to WWD, flipping through the 300-page issue will showcase a wide variety of fashion labels within a number of editorial spreads, some supplied by Net-A-Porter. Much like Vogue, it promises to be an international title with a focus on "celebrities, fashion insiders and accomplished women."

Despite its hype, a 300-page debut issue is still incredibly impressive-which can perhaps be explained by 72 pages of high fashion advertisements like Chanel (front gatefold) and Christian Dior (back cover). To that end, it's still a pricey read: at $9.99, Porter's cover price is currently set for almost twice as much as other upscale fashion titles. But the buzzy magazine its worth the investment; you can pick up Porter on newsstands this Friday, February 7.
