Rather than downloading them all (do you even have enough space for that?), we've trolled the app stores to help you pick which to click based on what you're looking for. If you want to rev up your look, shop the trends, or get educated - we've rounded up the top beauty apps for each need.

If you gotta try before you buy: ModiFace Virtual Makeover

Created with facial recognition software, ModiFace Virtual Makeover features photo-realistic makeup and hair simulations, getting as specific as winged eyeliners and facial sculpting, plus weekly updated celebrity hairstyles. (Personally, I've been wondering if I can pull of Julianne Hough's pixie.)

After choosing your makeover, the app suggests legit products you'll need in order to get the look you're going for in one of the following categories: hair, skin, nails, eyes, or lips. They'll even tell you the top sellers of the day in each category, meaning you can purchase what you "try-on" right from the app. With such an easy tap-to-buy functionality, it's a little dangerous, but a lot convenient. And did we mention it's free to download?

If you can't get to the derm this month: MySkin
We know, we know: We tell you to go to the derm, and the next appointment available is like five weeks away. In the meantime, though, download MySkin for the skinny on millions of products. You'll start off by answering a few questions about your skin, and the app will recommend specific products based on your results. The app will also pair you up with a "SkinTwin," someone who has a similar issues -- and someone whom you can compare notes with, too. You'll never forget that blemish cream for sensitive skin ever again, right?
