With summer just around the corner (and spring break happening right now!), we're thinking a whole lot about warm-weather attire these days. And we're not the only ones-this week we met up with Sarah Hyland to discuss all things beach style.

The Modern Family star set up shop with Cali-cool brand Ocean Pacific at New York City's Room Mate Hotel, where we sat next to an indoor pool filled with models and beach balls. Yeah, we have serious summer-lust at the moment. Read on to find out what the OP spokesgirl had to say about bikinis, sneakers, and more!

How would you describe your personal style?
It's very eclectic. I like to dress in whatever fits my mood for the day! That's why OP is so great. There's a pink fringe bikini that's a little bit crazy and weird, and then there are all the fruit prints which are bold and youthful.

What are your best beach tips?
It's always great to have a cover-up with you. You never know when you'll be in a situation where you'll need it!

How would you compare your look to your character Haley's?
It was very different at first, but now I'm starting to get her to not wear as many skirts. I'm really happy about that.

Do you discuss your wardrobe with Modern Family's costume designer?
She knows what I like and what I don't like. There are some days where there's something in my trailer, and I'm like, "You know what, can I switch this out?" and I get to pick another piece.

Now that you're in your 20s, how has your style changed since you were a teen?
I still wear clothes from high school!I haven't really grown that much, so I'm able to get away with it. I think it's fun mixing the old with the new.

What items are currently on your shopping wish list?
More wedge sneakers! I already have four pairs, but I feel like I can never have enough.

Rapid-fire question time! Bikini or one-piece?
Bikini.

Shorts or sundress?
Shorts...sundress...both!

Flip flops or sandals?
Sandals.

Stripes or polka dots?
Both.

Sunglasses or hat?
Both at the same time! Very old-school Hollywood.

And lastly, what can we expect next from you?
A lot of projects that I'm not allowed to talk about right now!
