Sister Act: Penelope and Monica Cruise
Typically, sisters who look alike and dress alike are irksome.
Why do you think Ashlee and Jessica and Mary-Kate and Ashley adopt such opposing styles? The public couldn't take it. It's a little obnoxious.
But like some sort of fashionable genetic anomaly, Penélope Cruz and her practically identical sister-Monica-even share the same beauty habits, and it WORKS.
I'm no forensic hair expert, but judging from their dark chocolate-with-caramel highlighted dye jobs, I'd bet they go to the same colorist (or at least give the same explicit direction from the chair). Gorgeous.
As for their makeup, both have a penchant for nude lips, natural blush, perfectly groomed and arched brows, and seriously smoldering eyeliner. Their lashes are always dense, and the liner is crazy heavy but somehow not overpowering.
I'm amazed that both of them have the guts to put so much black liner on the inner rims of their eyes. That trick always scares me, because I think I'll wake up with a stye and feel stupid for bringing it on myself.
Looking at this pic of them together, I can't help but think back to all of my friends whose older sisters wouldn't even let them share their HAIRBRUSH let alone an entire look. Wonder what P & M were like as teenage girls.
