Nevermind the "Situation"-Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has emerged as the real star of MTV's reality series, "Jersey Shore." (We watched the Season 3 premiere last night, and dare we say Snooki actually looked good?) Besides being well known for her famous poof and love of pickles, the 4'9" self-proclaimed guidette has many fashion and beauty projects in the works.

In late 2010 Snooki launched a line of slippers with Happy feet, the oversized fuzzy footwear she scuffles around in on "Jersey Shore." Happy Feet founder Pat Yates told the New York Post that "she crashed our server the first time she tweeted about our products." Snooki recently put her name on DiamondShark's limited editon pendant called the Snooki Party Ball 2011. It sells for $45 and commemorates her New Year's Eve appearance on MTV when she dropped inside a ball at midnight on national television. Daniel Weinstock, a partner at DiamondShark.com told the Post that the necklace will "probably sell out."

These two ventures are just the beginning for Snooki. Apparently she has hired a New York firm called SRG Ventures to help with the launch of tons of Snooki merchandise this year. A sunglass line is already in production, and she's looking to launch denim, sportswear, lingerie, swimwear, handbags, personal care, beauty products, fragrances, bedding, and home goods down the line. Because surely you want to wear Snooki lingerie in your very own "smash room" filled with Snooki sheets and candles. Ugh. Snooki, we love you, but not quite that much.

Why must celebs oversaturate the market with branded products they have no connection with? Michael Stone, a New York licensing and branding consultant with The Beanstalk Group, told the Post she may be moving too past. "If I were her, I wouldn't be gunning to be the next Martha Stewart just yet," Stone said. "I'd pick a product category or two." Our suggestions: a good self-tanner (since she says she can't afford tanning booths and because they're horrible for you) and a line of petite clothing (because she complains it's hard to find tiny clothes).

Meanwhile, we just got word that Sammi Sweetheart is launching a perfume. Hopefully she and Snooki will have better luck than JWOWW's failed clothing line.
