It's always great to look to the past for style ideas but fashion is also mostly about looking forward. As the holiday season comes to an end, the ultimate celebration of the year's end is a New Year's Eve party and with every party comes the question - what am I going to wear? Many of you have already figured this out but for the last-minute shoppers, here's a super chic look that will make you stand out from the crowd. I recently wore this look to a holiday event and it was a big hit. Incredibly light and comfortable, I felt like I was floating most of the night. Here's a breakdown of the outfit:

The Dress
: Zara Printed Dress with Asymmetrical Hem
This was such an inspiring dress and I knew the moment that I saw it that it was coming home with me. It's not your typical holiday dress and the reason I fell in love with it was that it was reminiscent of early spring. Its gorgeous but toned down pastel colors and floral print make it easy to wear with the Los Angeles weather while its airy feel makes it easy to navigate any event. The original dress didn't come with a belt but I loved defining my waist with a metallic belt that I picked up from Forever21 earlier this fall for under $3.

The Shoes: BOUCH by Aldo Shoes
With my dress providing a plethora of colors to play off, I was really looking forward to doing something interesting with my footwear and these feathered and stoned purple suede pumps from Aldo were perfect.

The heel had a hint of rustic pink and gray which subtly complimented my belt and the background colors of my dress. The feathers added a little funk while the stones added a little bling.

The Bag: CELUCH by Aldo
Speaking of a little bling, this clutch added the perfect hint of sparkle and glamour to my overall look. The champagne pink color was playful and sexy and complemented the outfit perfectly.

The Jewelry: The Josette Necklace Set (Rue de Chic.com)
I kept things pretty simple with the jewelry, opting to wear just the earrings from this set and foregoing the necklace all together. The melange of metals in the drop earrings which included gold and gun-metal gray reflected well on the dress as well as the clutch and shoes.
