Style.com’s style hunter: bow coup
Does the classic bow ever really go out of fashion? In a word: no. Designers' long-standing love affair with the twin loops and tails might have something to do with the (potentially naughty) association of impeccably trussed packages waiting to be undone. Whatever the rationale, this Fall, designers got more tied up in the theme than ever. On the runways of Jil Sander, United Bamboo, Wunderkind, and Marc by Marc Jacobs, bows transcended surface embellishment to become entwined into silhouettes-the sign of a sure hand with sartorial technique. "It's a detail I love working with because it is tailored and feminine at the same time," says bow aficionada Behnaz Sarafpour. "[It's] actually a part of our company logo!"
