The final word on jeggings: YES OR NO?
Every so often comes a truly polarizing fashion item. Like Uggs, Crocs, or anything Ed Hardy, people are completely divided when it comes to jeggings. But jeggings are confusing! We like to differentiate two types of jeggings: leggings that look like denim (they have fake pockets and do not actually zip or button) and ultra stretchy denim that hug the body like leggings. One surprising fan of jeggings? Conan O'Brien, who discussed the controversial pants on his new show with guest Tim Gunn.
"Okay, this is what I really want to talk about. This new phenomenon the ladies are wearing: jeggings!" said O'Brien. "I want to say this on the air. I love it when the ladies wear jeggings. I'm obsessed with jeggings. I love jeggings. Not on the fellas, lets be clear with that. When I see women on the lot here walking around wearing jeggings, I just do a back flip."
Naturally, "Project Runway" mentor and style maven Tim Gunn recoiled in utter disbelief. "Really? Any woman? Any physique?" Gunn shook his head and went on to say, "When it's the jean that really is like a leotard... it's not a good look!"
