Scrunchies were a late '80s and early '90s staple. Available in every type of material from cotton and terry to waffle knit and crushed velvet, the oversized, fabric-covered hair elastic went the way of slap bracelets and fannypacks--deep into the fashion graveyard. Now every time they resurface in pop culture people shudder. But really, what's so bad about scrunchies?
