Top 7 Movie Makeovers (From Cinderella to My Fair Lady)

You know it's the best part of the movie. When the scullery maid gets transformed into a princess. When the tomboy FBI agent turns into a beauty pageant queen. When the nerd becomes the most popular girl in school. We love the movie makeover montage so much that we made a list of our favorites and why we like them. Check out the top 7 makeovers below and let us know if we left out your fave. Then click here to see which celebrities need to get a makeunder, in our opinion.

Pretty Women

In this movie (shame on you if you haven't seen it yet), Julia Roberts trades in her boots, tank tops and trashy blonde hair for sexy dresses, classy pumps and gorgeous red curls. And of course we can't forget the fact that this is the movie that made us fall in love with her trademark hairstyle
(check out her other looks over the years here).

Cinderella

It's every girl's dream come true. You're living the poor life of a servant, when your fairy godmother comes along to magically turn your rags into a ball gown, slip on a pair of glass slippers and place a tiara on your head. No list of movie makeovers would be complete with this classic, don't you agree?

Clueless

Probably the most popular makeover in the history of film. Brittany Murphy plays the new, geeky and totally unfashionable student. Where to begin? She goes from wearing boyish shirts and baggy jeans (along with that unnaturally bright red hair) to midriff tops, short skirts and her hair is turned a prettier shade of auburn.

Princess Diaries

In this real life Cinderella story, Anne Hathaway is living a very ordinary life (complete with frizzy hair and thick glasses) when she is told she's actually a princess. She gets whisked away to a world of royalty, pretty dresses and a brand-new look -- but not before she undergoes a painful-looking (albeit humorous) makeover

Miss Congeniality

Sandra Bullock is a hardcore FBI agent who must go undercover as a beauty pageant contestant. The slow-mo scene where she walks out with her makeover team (and then totally trips and falls flat) is one of our favorites. She already has a killer body, but her gorgeous makeup and hair really transform her tomboy image.

She's All That

Rachel Leigh Cookis the object of a bet between two of the most popular guys in school -- and so begins the process of turning the nerd into a prom queen. We love the moment she walks down the stairs in her red dress -- she just looks so stunning. And there's just something about tripping over your high heels that makes any character look so real and relatable. However, we don't think she needed to ditch her glasses completely -- she just needed the right frames for her face shape (find yours here).

My Fair Lady

Besides the fact that this is the best love story ever, we adore how Audrey Hepburn also undergoes an amazing makeover. She goes from drab to fab, with a brand new hairstyle, wardrobe and completely different mannerisms. Although it's hard to imagine Hepburn as anything other than a true lady, she does a great job playing the part of a "bag lady."
