Trend alert: Spider lashes (VIDEO)

Style.com is reporting that spider lashes are going to be a major beauty trend this fall.

The name refers to heavily-mascara'ed upper and lower lashes, reminiscent of the style worn by models in the 60s and 70s. Click through to see an excellent video tutorial on how to get the look yourself.

Essentially, all you have to do is brush on a base coat, then paint your lash base over and over until you achieve that piecey look.

One of my favorite things about this new trend is that you can get the look using mascara that you almost certainly already have in your makeup drawer. Two mascaras I'm using now and loving:
