Trend spotting : Color blocking (Only the bold need apply)

We recently covered the hottest color of the summer and today, we're featuring something for the risk-takers. There's nothing new about the art of color blocking. Who could forget Grace Coddington's eye catching work (experience is probably a much better description) in the pages of Vogue. What's exciting about this art of dressing is that it gets more bold and more vibrant from year to year and never seems to lose it's "freshness". This style is most certainly not for the meek, it takes a certain level of confidence and audacity to walk in a color blocked piece. This past season, thanks to fashion houses like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Designers like Sonia Rykiel, we've been re-introduced to a really bold alternative. So the morale is, for those who dare, remember people will stare, some may even sneer but you'll probably be having too much fun to care! Here's to taking a risk in color…
