Historically, the Golden Globes have been a relaxed and boozy stop on the awards-season marathon, but that doesn't mean the stars don't face fashion dramas while getting ready for the red carpet.

Cate Blanchett (in Armani): "Effortless. But a lot of work goes into the effortlessness [of] walking up that marathon that is the Golden Globes red carpet. I was fine at midnight. I woke up and had butterflies in my stomach, because you never know what the outcome is."

Maria Menounos: "Well, I had to go commando for the first time. You can't wear any underwear under this dress. There are breezes that just come through. It's very fresh and airy. TMI?"

Jennifer Lawrence: "My stylist, Rachel, brought over her adorable son Skyler and we played tickle monster for a while. I had my friends and family come over, which is always like a party, really fun, until I'm walking out the door. And then everybody says, 'Let me get a picture.' And I'm like, 'I really have to go...'"

Elizabeth Moss: "There are some things I can't tell you about. And, um, honestly, I just listen to music. I try to pretend it is just any other day, because it usually is just any other day. I listen to Katy Perry, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake. The usual lineup."

Zoë Saldana: "It was hectic with all my family in my house. My sister and I were getting ready. And everybody's giving their opinions and getting lotions and earrings. By the time we got in the car, we both gave the biggest sigh of relief."

Greta Gerwig: "There was a man who came over specifically to put me into this. There is a corset and corset extension. It's very complicated. But I felt overwhelmed and was almost crying when I arrived. When you're a child, you project yourself into attending the Golden Globes and the Oscars. But when you imagine it, you always imagine someone better than yourself showing up. And then, it's just me doing this."

Emma Watson: "I just felt very comfortable. Yes, these are pants. I just felt very comfortable, and I thought it was very original. And it was easy with the pants. It always gets a little hectic. You think you have so much time and all of a sudden, you don't. I had my hair and makeup and my stylist. So just three people."

Zooey Deschanel: "My dogs were really cute, and my mom came over and she had them both on her lap, which was pretty adorable. I had a hairdresser, makeup artist, stylist, seamstress, just to check the under situation. My friend and my mom, so it was a lot."

Caitlin FitzGerald: "It was pretty orderly until just before we were going out the door. Then we were indecisive about the lipstick shade, because it had to be just right. It's about seven different lipsticks mixed together."

Sarah Hyland: "That was two years ago when my dress ripped on the carpet. Nope, I've got it down pat. Today, I feel like a modern day Grace Kelly. But the train is getting wet when people step on it. That's the only thing."

Corey Stoll (House of Cards): "Getting ready wasn't bad, but getting here was bad because I forgot my limo pass. There is very tight security. We were seconds away from finding a car that had a pass and hitching a ride. But my publicist wouldn't let me."

Berenice Bejo (in Giambattista Valli): "It was easy and fast. But yes, something tricky did happen. I'm not going to tell you exactly what, because then you're going to zoom in on that. But I did have to sew--a little Cinderella moment."

Margot Robbie (in Gucci): "I just got back from London from The Wolf of Wall Street premiere, so this was a two-day job. It was pretty chill, more relaxed than usual. Because I usually leave things to the last minute and then everyone is running around crazed and the dress breaks. But nothing went wrong. Maybe I'll trip on the carpet."

Ariel Winter (Modern Family):
"Oh, well, I'm sewn into my dress because the zipper didn't work. I'm triple sewn all the way down, and I can't breathe."

Michael J. Fox: "I just watched the football game and threw on my tux. But I'm always amazed by how long my wife puts into it."
Tracy Pollan: "It doesn't seem fair. Just the hair alone..."
MJF: "But she'd look good in a potato sack."
TP: "I don't think so, but thank you."

Sally Hawkins (Blue Jasmine, in vintage Dior): "This is on loan from William Vintage in London. And it goes back to the Dior Museum after tonight. It flies home and back."

Julie Delpy: "A lot of things happened getting ready that you might not want to know. I slipped on Legos. And we got lost on the way. The driver didn't know how to get here."
