What are you wearing today?
Last week, right before I was leaving for the beach for July 4th, a reader named Girl Rider posted a simple blog post with a simple question: What are you wearing today? I thought, "Now that's kind of fun," and I featured it in the editor's picks. Then, over the weekend, you guys went a little crazy. Well, maybe not crazy...but 83 of you wanted to tell the rest of you what was being worn that day and other people got excited about people's outfits and there was conversation and joviality and it felt like what this fashion and beauty blog should be. So, I am going to continue this tradition, on Fridays, from now on, forever.
What are you wearing today?
(Incidentally, this question sounds faintly dirty to me like when you'd watch, I don't know, the Love Boat and Doc would call a woman and ask her that very question except without the "today". Or maybe somewhere in my twisted mind I've mixed up Doc from Love Boat-the man who always gave the ladies his pajama tops while he donned the bottoms-with Howard Stern, who definitely definitely asked many a lady caller what they were wearing and I know this because I secretly listened to him on my way to school when I was 14. Oh. Digressions).
In any case, on this hot July day, I am wearing:
The red and black plaid dress pictured (which I got on eBay)
Black peep-toe flats
A low side ponytail
My Paul Frank glasses
Today my role in the play would be "Summer Librarian."
