Where have all the real clothes gone?

After seeing these photos of Rihanna at an event last night, I just had to take a minute to vent. What the hell is she wearing? Is it a giant pea pod costume? Is this the spawn of Grace Jones? An eco-conscious bat?

With celebs like Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Amber Rose, Kelis, and even Beyonce trading in normal things like, you know, pants, for inexplicable costumes like this one, we couldn't help but wonder (like Carrie Bradshaw), where have all the real clothes gone?
