Who is your all-time favorite model?

Remember back when models were on the covers of magazines every month? Now it's become a rarity, so the fashion world is buzzing about Vogue's upcoming May issue featuring multiple models on its glossy cover, handpicked by Editor in Chief Anna Wintour and shot by famed photographer Steven Meisel. We've been trying to guess: Who are the new "It" girls?

Annie Leibovitz shot the November 1999 Vogue cover, for a best models of the past, present and future spread. It featured Kate Moss, Lauren Hutton, Iman, Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour, Claudia Schiffer, Amber Valletta, Christy Turlington, Patti Hansen, Lisa Taylor, Paulina Porizkova, and Carolyn Murphy. Not too shabby! More recently, the May 2007 issue titled "The World's Next Top Models" featured Hilary Rhoda, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Donaldson, Sasha Pivovarova, Coco Rocha, Chanel Iman, Caroline Trentini, Raquel Zimmerman, Agnyess Deyn, and Jessica Stam together. All of whom are big names--or at least famous faces--in the fashion world.

So who will grace the cover this year? Which models deserve to be recognized?

My favorite model of all time is Cindy Crawford. I just loved that late '80s/early '90s era of the fierce supermodel (Naomi Campbell), with curves (Stephanie Seymore), and even brains (Christy Turlington). Cindy had a striking face and body to die for, but with those thick brows and a mole on her face, she maybe could have been the really hot girl next door. Perhaps it's because these women ruled the world and dominated runways, fashion magazines and ad campaigns when I was an impressionable young teen, but I'd love to see a return to that look. And not for nothing, but I saw a nude photo spread of a now 43-year-old Cindy Crawford last month, and she is looking beyond fab!
