Who Knows About Your Bikini Wax?

After I had a few bikini waxes under my belt, so to speak, I also had tales to tell my friends. Usually, short and sweet ones that ended in a recommendation for someone who was asking for exactly that. But also, I had one horror story about a waxer who not only had sloppy technique, but, in my opinion, got a tad too personal:
"Why are you not getting a Brazilian? What are you, a big baby? I have a Brazilian," the brusque, 60-something aesthetician told me.

"As if I needed to know what she's got going on downtown," I told female and male party guests alike.
Yep. Only later did I realize that by telling my friends about the experience, I had revealed something that they might not have wanted to know about me. Recently, a comment Kim Kardashian made to Allure about having all of her body hair lasered off had some bloggers and their commenters saying that she overshared. But in KK's case, she answered a beauty question in a beauty magazine-the context was appropriate. While in my case, I probably should have considered my audience and the setting a bit more.
