Zac Efron is known for his squeaky-clean roles-he got his start on Disney's High School Musical, after all-but as you know, real life isn't all sunshine and singalongs. Case in point: Today's shocking news that the talented actor completed a stint in rehab earlier this year.

It's not easy when you're in the spotlight to put your health first, especially when that means taking a big (public) step like rehab. But Zac clearly has his priorities straight, and is setting an amazing example in the process.

Addiction is scary, and everyone who's been affected by it (which is, let's face it, everyone, in some way or another) knows how tough it is to deal with. Here's something that'll surprise you even more than finding out about Zac: 23.5 million people ages twelve or older needed treatment for an illicit drug or alcohol abuse problem in 2009 alone.

Here's the thing: Zac has a good support system. He also has lots of major movies coming out, including a starring role in Are We Officially Dating? alongside Young Hollywood favorites Miles Tiller and Michael B. Jordan. And now? He has this major success under his belt. In sum: Expect great things from this dreamboat actor. He's already coming out on top.
