Oven-Roasted AsparagusAlthough many people believe that thinner asparagus spears are more tender than thicker ones, thick spears are actually just as tender. If the asparagus stems are tough, remove the outer layer with a vegetable peeler.
  • 1 1/2 pounds asparagus
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. On a baking sheet, toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and a pinch of pepper. Spread in a single layer.

    since discovering oven roasted fresh asperagus we have not boiled it ever again. roasting is so easy and the end product is very flavorful. a bit more work, but even better is GRILLED. much lie i do a steak. Grilled corn on the cob is so good as well.
