Royal Baby Watch: Live blog at St Mary's hospital as Kate Middleton gives birth to a Royal Baby BOY!

We're waiting for the birth of the Royal Baby with bated breath, with each passing moment bringing us THAT MUCH closer to the arrival of our future monarch (and Kate Middleton's joy etc.).

So excited are we that we've decided to camp out at St. Mary's hospital in Paddington to bring you up-to-the minute ground reports of all that's happening - the good, the bad, and the bizarre.

Whether you just want a quick update, or can't stop counting the contractions, our running 'Royal Baby Watch' live blog below is THE place to be for all of your baby-obsessing action.

The official announcement will be made in formal royal style: doctors will sign the birth notice at which point it will be hand carried out to a waiting car, which will then drive out to Buckingham Palace (presumably being chased by helicopters and news vans the entire way).

Upon arrival the notice will be promptly displayed on an easel in the forecourt of the palace for all the world to see. All very grand, no?

Keep in touch with your own thoughts around the Royal Birth - love it, hate it, don't know what babies are? We want to know!

Are you ready for the royal event of the YEAR? We know we are. Bring on the baby!
