When you are pregnant, your hormone levels tend to get wacky, especially during your first trimester as your body is adjusting to all the newness going on in your womb, which tends to heighten your chances of acne during pregnancy. As someone who's suffered from acne problems well into adulthood, even without being pregnant, I'm always on the lookout for new products to help tame breakouts.

Though some doctors tell pregnant women that products containing synthetic salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide are not safe during pregnancy, as mine did 4 years ago when I was pregnant with my oldest, others find it safe.
