User post: Five Great Hair Products for Relaxed Hair
If you remember my Yahoo! Shine Beauty Guru post about naming your beauty obsession you know mine is all about the hair! Being that my hair is relaxed (which may be changing at the end of the year! I'll keep you posted!) it requires extra attention so I always need the right products on hand. The key factors I look at when it comes to products is the conditioning factor, the greasiness factor, and the weight factor because my fine hair will act up if those standards are not met! Here are the five products that I work great on my relaxed hair!
Motions Lavish Conditioning Shampoo
As hard I as try to expand my shampoo horizons, none of them seem to compare to this one! It gives the conditioning my hair needs and doesn't dry it out. My hair is soft after the first lather! It also doesn't take much to get the job done which is something my wallet loves!
Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayo
This has been the best deep conditioner I've used to date! This conditioner is enriched with Olive Oil, Egg Protein, and Herbs - three things that are yummy for your hair! After deep conditioning with it for 15 minutes under a warm dryer, my hair is incredibly soft! It also helps with excessive breakage!
Just for Me Hair Milk Conditioner
On those shampoo days when I just don't have enough time to deep condition, I use this conditioner which leaves my hair just as soft! This conditioner contains soymilk protein and natural honey which does wonders for my hair! It also smells great!
Optimum Oil Therapy Over-Nite Hair Strengthener
I discovered this hair product not too long ago and though I can't say that it works great as a hair strengthener, it does work wonders in giving my hair some much needed shine! The product isn't too heavy but has the potential to weigh my hair down if I overdo it! I just take a quarter size of the hair dress and apply it to my hair before wrapping it up at night. In the morning, my hair is soft ,shiny and not weight down - just how I like it!
Advanced Techniques Lotus Shield
This has to be the best anti-frizz product I've used! Where I live, sudden downpours and 200% humidity days are the norm and there's nothing worse than having your nice straight hairdo turning into a frizz ball once you step outside! This product has proved to keep my hair frizz free through it all, with its Lotus inspired formula guaranteeing frizz protection for up to three days. It's also really light so my hair doesn't go limp and the fragrance is amazing!
