3 Steps to Healing Emotional Trauma

Most people can relate to not feeling 100% because some issue or memory from their past is haunting them.

It happens to all of us.

Mom or dad say something, a girlfriend leaves us, we fail a test, or whatever.

The list of things that can traumatize people grows longer every day and, unfortunately, most people are not equipped with the tools to heal these wounds.

I've been working with patients on this topic for years. There are a number of different types of therapy that have proven effective but none have shown me as much promise as qi gong combined with five elemental emotional cleansing and some deep meditation.

Again, it took years of trial and error to come up with a system comprehensive enough to see long-lasting results with patients. How does it work?

1- Qi Gong- you've got to get the energetic charge up in the body so you have the motivation, vitality, and currency of qi flow available to make a lasting change. This is easily done by learning various qi gong sets and mastering the dynamics of the energy flow in your body.

2- Five Elemental Emotional Cleansing - this ancient form of Taoist magic takes the energetic signature of the trauma stored in the body and uses color and sound to heal the effected energy system. It is a powerful method for cleansing emotional charge attached to memories and past trauma.

3- Deep Meditation - getting into the root cause and establishing the nature of the suffering. Our basic aversions and cravings stem from our reactions to reality and it is up to us to pull these weeds and return to our equanimity.

A deep understanding of how we were wounded and what energetic signatures our response to the assault left is the ultimate way of healing because, at the end of the day, its all about consciousness and self-awareness.

Take these three and use them in a comprehensive platform to bring up your vitality, cleanse the trauma, and learn from the lesson and you have effectively come whole. The esoteric systems of Taoist Alchemy and Qi Gong are designed to open blocked energy flow but it is important to remember that they are rooted in monastic traditions.

At the end of the day, all of our traumas teach us about who we truly are and it is important to wake up to our essential selves. Trying to avert the pain or find some miracle remedy that will make it all go away will only bring the lesson back in a harsher context next time. Let's learn and grow…heal and shine.
