5 Days to an Amazing Beach Body

Bikini weather is coming, ready or not. In the interest of leaning toward "ready," BAZAAR is turning to the biggest names in health and fitness to get body (and mind) ready. For week two, yoga expert Heather Lilleston broke down five must-dos to get physically and mentally set for the season. Lilleston, co-founder of Yoga for Bad People (with Katelin Sisson) - an inspired, yoga retreat company - is a certified Jivamukti teacher and a Yoga Shanti teacher who currently teaches at Yoga Vida in Manhattan and at Yoga Shanti and Love Yoga in the Hamptons. Lilleston has become synonymous with creative Vinyasa sequences that boast a cool mix of meditation, chanting, good music and spiritual philosophy.

Day 1: Ginger Fireball from the Juice Press

A stimulating immune booster that includes the following: oil of oregano (an anti-microbial), colodial silver (some consider an antibiotic), cayenne, ginger (an anti-inflammatory), lemon and orange juice. Drink a few of these a week to maintain your body's natural strength.

Day 2: A Good 30 Minute Run Outside

It's important to do something active outside, that doesn't involve carrying your purse and rushing from errand to errand. Experts claim that seasonal depression isn't necessarily combatted by going to a tropical island and sunbathing, but that doing something active outside, even in the cold, is necessary for well-being in the mind. Remember to stretch after the run for at least 5 minutes to protect the body from tightening too much.

Day Three: A 1 Hour Flow Class at Yoga Vida NYC

We don't all have time for the 1.5 hour yoga class, which can sometimes feel more like a 3 hour yoga session when you include the travel time. Yoga Vida's Flow Class is a solid Vinyasa class, (all the teachers play good music), the vibe is light and welcoming at the studio, and it's easy to breeze in and out, while still feeling refreshed from the practice.

Day Four: A Facial at Soho Sanctuary

I love this all women's spa in SoHo that gives a rejuvenating holistic facial, using only Dr. Hauschka products - so it isn't too invasive or disturbing to the skin. They have a powerful steam room, and it is actually quiet in there so you can truly have a little downtime.

Day Five: A 10 Minute Meditation

Ideally, you keep this practice up daily: Sit down, Close your Eyes, Be Still, and Stay. It is really this simple. Sit still for 10 minutes and see what happens. I recommend using a timer and earplugs. You won't worry about the time, and it's much easier to drop into yourself rather than letting the sounds of what is around distract you.
